# Privacy Policy — Save Portfolio

Save Portfolio is a browser extension that helps educators export Portflow portfolio collections from Canvas/Instructure pages they already have access to.

## Data the extension handles

When you use the extension on a portfolio page, it may read and process:

- Page URLs (including SpeedGrader or portfolio links)
- Student names shown on the page
- Portfolio collection titles, evidence titles, and file metadata
- Download URLs for evidence files hosted on Portflow or related storage
- Your existing Canvas/Portflow session (cookies and tokens already present in the page)

## Where data is stored

All scan results and cached summaries are saved **only in your browser** using `browser.storage.local`. Nothing is sent to the extension author or any third-party server operated by this project.

Downloaded ZIP archives are saved through your browser’s normal download flow to a location you choose.

## Data the extension does not collect

- No analytics or telemetry
- No accounts or registration with the extension
- No transmission of portfolio content to external servers beyond the same hosts required to load the page and download files you request

## Permissions

The extension requests access to Canvas/Instructure, Portflow, and related file-hosting domains so it can detect portfolio pages, call the same APIs the page uses, and download evidence files you choose. It does not run on unrelated websites.

## Your choices

You can clear all saved scan results from the extension popup at any time. Uninstalling the extension removes its local storage from your browser profile.
